Cortex is a 1970’s jazz fusion funk band from France. Doom sampled their song Huit Octobre 1971 for his song One Beer.
Cortex’s sound was steamrolled by Alain Mion, pianist and frontman of the group. Their album Troupeau Bleu goes down as hip hop’s favorite jazz album, as it’s been sampled over 140 times. J Dilla, Tyler the Creator and Madlib to name a few.
The text on the back of the tee spells out “only one beer left” in French of course.
Printed with water based inks on Comfort Colors hemp green and Comfort Colors white.
